Brett Hands
Brett, a qualified metal tradesman, has owned and operated his own metal fabrication business for over 25 years.
He obtained his Equine Dentistry qualification in 2009 and has been practicing as an Equine Dentist ever since.
Raised in a family immersed in farming and equestrian life, Brett has been handling livestock since he could walk. His first pony, Jerry, not only deepened his love for horses but also introduced him to the challenges of being frequently bucked off. This experience led Brett to compete in Rodeos across Australia in the Bareback event during his teenage years. After two decades and numerous appearances at National Final Rodeos, Brett discovered a profound passion for Reining horses, which proved to be gentler on his body. Competing professionally, he has produced many Futurity/Derby horses and achieved success at the National level.
As both a rider and a dentist, Brett understands the challenge of finding quality Bits that are comfortable and effective for each horse.
Meanwhile, his spouse, Khris, a qualified Livestock Technician, faced difficulties in sourcing high-quality Custom Brands and Livestock handling equipment for her clients.
This led to the creation of BH Bits n Brands.
With his qualifications and extensive experience in these fields, Brett believes he can offer the highest quality Custom Bits and Brands available.

Khris Hands
Khris was a quintessential country kid, with a deep love for horses, engaging in activities ranging from Pony Club to riding racehorses in track work. During her teens, she discovered Rodeos and became enamored with Barrel racing and Breakaway Roping. Seeking a new challenge, Khris transitioned to Reining, acquiring Tank (Tamkaura Promise of Glory). Together, they have competed across Australia, securing multiple victories at the National level.
She spent 10 years serving in the Air Force, a career that demands unparalleled attention to detail and perfectionism. Her tenure in the military honed these crucial skills, which she now applies in all her endeavors.
While on a holiday in America, Khris visited several working ranches and fell in love with cattle, farming, and the entire ranching lifestyle. Upon returning home, she began studying veterinary science at CSU but soon realized her true passion lay in livestock reproduction, a field where she has worked for over a decade.
Khris currently runs her own livestock service business, KH Livestock, and is passionate about her work. She and her team offer their services across eastern Victoria, committed to providing clients with exceptional service in livestock reproductive and management needs.
